This last week was challenging but in a good way. Most of the week was taken up helping with Buyer Persona’s for clients.

That’s what this week’s blog is about, so let’s begin.

What are Buyer Persona’s

Buyer Persona’s are representations of your target audience taking into account research and data.

Creating a Buyer Persona takes includes the following:

  • Age
  • Gender
  • Motivations
  • Hobbies/Interests
  • Challenges/Pain points

Having a buyer persona will help you attract the right customers, which will give you a higher chance of retaining them. It will also help you address their problems or meet their needs better and more efficiently.

If you’re struggling to create your buyer persona, Hubspot has a buyer persona generator tool that can help.

Now that you know what Buyer Persona’s are, let’s take a look at why they’re important

Why are Buyer Persona’s Important?

Buyer persona’s are one of the first things that you need to do when developing your marketing strategy. They help you understand your customers better, allowing you to tailor your marketing efforts and create better content.

If you really want to make your customers’ lives better, easier or more convenient, you need to know what difficulties they experience and how your product or service can help. A buyer persona can help with this.

This past week was the first time I helped with developing a buyer persona, and it wasn’t easy. The first time I did it, was not inline with what was needed, the second time was much better.

Here are a few things I learnt

  • Buyer persona’s require a lot of research
  • You can’t move ahead with your marketing strategy or marketing plans with a buyer persona
  • It’s very more time consuming.

That’s all from me this week. let me know why you think buyer personas are important and what approach do you take when creating one.
